Climate change and trends in demand for food, energy, and biofuels have an increasing impact on the agricultural as well as livestock production in this region. In South America, livestock is expected to represent the primary source of income for around 200 million small agricultural families. The ever-increasing demand for meat and milk has fuelled the animal feed markets' growth. Dairy and beef feed consumption was 127 million metric tonnes in 2021. The need for feed is boosted by the growing quantity of cattle. Concerns about good and healthy animals are driving the demand for high-quality animal feeds in good condition.
